Auto-delete old tweets

Set a rule once, for example "delete my tweets after 90 days", and stop thinking about it. X Cleaner Cloud is the best fit for this: it runs on our servers, even with your computer off. The Chrome extension can also clean on a schedule, as long as Chrome stays open.

Why do it

A short timelineOld posts disappear on their own once they reach the age you choose.
Keep what still mattersIn the Cloud, rules spare tweets with certain keywords or above a number of likes.

With the Chrome extension

  1. Install X Cleaner from the Chrome Web Store and upgrade to Pro.
  2. In the panel on x.com, turn on scheduled cleanup and set the age of the tweets to delete.
  3. Keep Chrome open with an X tab: the cleanup runs at regular intervals.
  4. If Chrome is closed or no X tab is open, the run is postponed.

With X Cleaner Cloud

  1. Sign in with X from any device and turn on Auto-delete (€9.99/month).
  2. Set your rule: types to delete, tweet age, keywords to keep, minimum likes to keep.
  3. Close the tab: the rule runs on our servers, even with your computer off.
  4. Each month includes 200 deletions.

Good to know

The extension's scheduled cleanup needs Chrome open with an X tab; otherwise the run is postponed. Cloud Auto-delete includes 200 deletions per month, and unused ones don't carry over. X Cleaner Cloud is not open yet: you can join the waitlist.

Can I auto-delete tweets with my computer off?

Yes, with X Cleaner Cloud: the rule runs on our servers. With the extension, Chrome has to be open with an X tab.

How much does auto-delete cost?

In the Cloud, €9.99 per month with 200 deletions included each month. In the extension, scheduled cleanup is part of Pro: $5.49/month or $21 for life.

Can I keep some tweets from being auto-deleted?

Yes. In the Cloud, rules can keep tweets that contain certain keywords or have at least a set number of likes. You can also protect individual tweets.

What happens to unused monthly deletions?

The 200 deletions included each month don't carry over. Credits you buy separately never expire.
